प्रयोग किया जाता है। गेंदा के फूल का उपयोग मुर्गी के भोजन के रूप में भी आजकल बड़े पैमाने पर हो रहा है। इसके प्रयोग से मुर्गी के अंडे की जर्दी का रंग पीला हो जाता है, जिससे अण्डे की गुणवत्ता तो बढ़ती निम्न हैं -\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e1. अफ्रिकन गेंदा\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eइसके पौधे अनेक शाखाओं से युक्त लगभग 1 मीटर तक ऊँचे होते हैं, इनके फूल गोलाकार, बहुगुणी पंखुड़ियों वाले तथा पीले व नारंगी रंग का होता है। बड़े आकार के फूलों का व्यास 7-8 सेमी. होता है। इसमें कुछ बौनी किस्में भी होती हैं, जिनकी ऊँचाई सामान्यत: 20 सेमी. तक होती है। अफ्रिकन गेंदा के अन्तर्गत व्यवसायिक दृष्टिकोण से उगाये जाने वाले प्रभेद-पूसा नारंगी, पूसा वसन्तु अफ्रिकन येलो इत्यादि है।\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e2. फ्रांसीसी गेंदा\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eइस प्रजाति की ऊँचाई लगभग 25-30 सेमी. तक होती है इसमें अधिक शाखायें नहीं होती हैं किन्तु इसमें इतने अधिक पुष्प आते हैं कि पूरा का पूरा पौधा ही पुष्पों से ढँक जाता है। इस प्रजाति के कुछ उन्नत किस्मों में रेड ब्रोकेट, कपिड येलो, बोलेरो, बटन स्कोच इत्यादि है।\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eखाद एवं उर्वरक\u003cbr\u003eगेंदा की अच्छी ऊपज है तो खेत की तैयारी से पहले 200 क्विंटल कम्पोस्ट प्रति हेक्टेयर की दर से मिट्टी में मिला दें । तत्पश्चात 120-160 किलो नेत्रजन, 60-80 किलो फास्फोरस एवं 60-80 किलोग्राम पोटाश का प्रयोग प्रति है क्टेयर की दर से करें। नेत्रजन की आधी मात्रा एवं फास्फोरस और पोटाश की पूरी मात्रा खेत की अन्तिम जुताई के समय मिट्टी में मिला दें। नेत्रजन की शेष आधी मात्रा पौधा रोप के 30-40 दिन के अन्दर प्रयोग करें।\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eगेंदा का प्रसारण\u003cbr\u003eगेंदा का प्रसारण बीज एवं कटिंग दोनों विधि से होता है इसके लिए 300-400 ग्राम बीज प्रति है क्टर की आवश्यकता होती है जो 500 वर्ग मीटर के बीज शैय्या में तैयार किया जाता है, बीज शैय्या में बीज की गहराई 1 सेमी. से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए। जब कटिंग द्वारा गेंदा का प्रसारण किया जाता है उसमें ध्यान रखना चाहिए कि हमेशा कटिंग नये स्वस्थ पौधे से लें जिसमें मात्र 1-2 फूल खिला हो, कटिंग का आकार 4 इंच (10 सेमी) लम्बा होना चाहिए। इस कटिंग पर रूटेक्स लगाकर बालू से भरे ट्रे में लगाना चाहिए। 20-22 दिन बाद इसे खेत में रोपाई करना चाहिए। रोपाई : गेंदा फूल खरीफ, रबी, जायद तीनों सीजन में बाजार की मांग के अनुसार उगाया जाता है। लेकिन इसके लगाने का उपयुक्त समय सितम्बर-अक्टूबर है। विभिन्न मौसम में अलग-अलग दूरी पर गेंदा लगाया जाता है जो निम्न है\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eखरीफ (जून से जुलाई) – 60 x 45 सेमी.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eरबी (सितम्बर–अक्टूबर) – 45 x 45 सेमी.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eजायद (फरवरी-मार्च) – 45 x 30 सेमी.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eसिंचाई\u003cbr\u003eखेत की नमी को देखते हुए 5-10 दिनों के अन्तराल पर गेंदा में सिंचाई करनी चाहिए। यदि वर्षा हो जाय तो सिंचाई नहीं करना चाहिए।\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eपिंचिंग\u003cbr\u003eरोपाई के 30-40 दिन के अन्दर पौधे की मुख्य शाकीय कली को तोड़ देना चाहिए। इस क्रिया से यद्यपि फूल थोड़ा देर से आयेंगे, परन्तु प्रति पौधा फूल की संख्या एवं ऊपज में वृद्धि होती है। निकाई-गुड़ाई लगभग 15-20 दिन पर आवश्यकतानुसार निकाई-गुड़ाई करनी चाहिए। इससे भूमि में हवा का संचार ठीक संग से होता है एवं वांछित खरपतवार नष्ट हो जाते हैं। रोपाई के 60 से 70 दिन पर गेंदा में फूल आता है जो 90 से 100 दिनों तक आता रहता है। अतः फूल की तोड़ाई साधारणतया सायंकाल में की जाती है। फूल को थोड़ा डंठल के साथ तोड़ना श्रेयस्कर होता है। फूल का कार्टून जिसमें चारों तरफ एवं नीचे में अखबार फैलाकर रखना चाहिए एवं ऊपर से फिर अखबार से ढँक कर कार्टून बन्द करना चाहिए।\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eकीड़े और बीमारी\u003cbr\u003eलीफ
