Pusa Bahar African Marigold Seeds – ICAR-IARI Yellow Flower Variety

Pusa Bahar Marigold is an improved African marigold variety developed by ICAR–Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, and released in 2017. This variety is known for its vigorous plant growth, large attractive yellow flowers, and excellent flowering potential.

Pusa Bahar plants grow approximately 75–85 cm tall and produce compact, flattened, large yellow flowers measuring 8–9 cm in diameter. The flowers have an attractive yellow colour (RHS Yellow Group 9A), making the variety suitable for commercial flower cultivation, garden bedding, landscaping, and floral decorations.

The variety starts flowering approximately 90–100 days after sowing and is highly floriferous, producing an average of 50–60 flowers per plant under suitable growing conditions.
