🌿 General Growing Guidelines
🌱 Nursery: Sow one seed per cell in a clean, well-drained nursery medium. Keep the medium moist but never waterlogged.
🚜 Transplanting: Transplant healthy seedlings at approximately 4–5 true-leaf stage. Avoid using weak, elongated or root-bound seedlings.
📏 Suggested Spacing: Maintain approximately 45–60 cm between rows and 40–50 cm between plants, depending on soil fertility and the desired head size.
☀️ Growing Conditions: Select an open location receiving good sunlight. Ensure excellent drainage, particularly during rainy or humid weather.
💧 Irrigation: Maintain uniform soil moisture. Irregular irrigation or water stress during head formation may reduce head quality.
🌾 Nutrition: Apply well-decomposed organic manure and balanced crop nutrition according to soil-test recommendations. Adequate boron and calcium availability supports better head quality.
✂️ Harvesting: Harvest when the central head is firm, compact and fully developed, before the flower buds loosen or begin opening.
